Deferring Property Taxes

Did you know that qualifying property owners in British Columbia can defer their property taxes as long as they own and live in their home? There are two main groups of property owners who are able to qualify under this program:
1) Property owners aged 55+, a surviving spouse or a person with a disability; and
2) Families who are financially supporting a dependent child under the age of 18.
There are costs & rules associated with how to do this but here's a great article that outlines what you need to know.
