The Shipyards - Public Space Development

(QPM) as its partner to develop The Shipyards - Lot 5, bringing the City a significant step closer to delivering a unique, interactive, year-round, activity driven people place that will include an outdoor public skating rink and a water play area. The outdoor public skating rink will be the largest in the Lower Mainland.
Site Activities
To allow for environmental investigation and remedial work to commence, Lot 5 will be cleared beginning in the summer of 2016. Installation of a secant pile wall surrounding the perimeter of Lot 5 will be installed late 2016. Construction of the Lot 5 commercial building and open space is scheduled to commence in early 2017. The Shipyards Lot 5 is due to open late 2018.

There’s no building permit plans submitted at this point in time but the zoning is in place. Look at the Zoning Bylaw, available online here: keyword search to bring up CD-393. This zone will specify maximum heights, setbacks from property lines, permitted uses, etc.
